I came across this podcast by the wonderful T. Thorn Coyle, Elemental Castings. In one day, I listened to 3 panel discussions that were offered at PantheaCon 2015; on Racism in Paganism, Youth Leadership in Paganism and Cultural Appropriation. They were all great and worth a listen, but I have to highly recommend this one in particular: Episode #77 Pantheacon 2015 #2. This was one of the most articulate and nuanced conversations on the subject of Cultural Appropriation that I have ever had the pleasure of partaking in (and there have been SO many in the last couple years!). Seriously – this is a must listen for anyone curious on the subject. I am so grateful to everyone who helped make this happen!
With the theme of PantheaCon 2016 being Change Makers, I am hoping that a lot more offerings around social and environmental justice will be a part of the program – who knows, maybe the W*U Hall will make it there….
